Aquaman: A Sea of Confusion
Переглядів 10 тис.5 років тому
I’ll say this much about Aquaman: It managed to make the lamest member of the Justice League a little tiny bit less lame. Jason Momoa is likeable enough to follow him throughout the journey he embarks on in the film without rolling your eyes too much. And if you do it’s probably because of other aspects of the movie. We’ll get into that in a minute. But Jason Momoa, solid dude. He looks the par...
Analyzing Hollywood's Most Underrated Film Score
Переглядів 14 тис.5 років тому
It’s tricky navigating a movie with music while still being able to create something interesting and original. The composer has to accurately match what’s being shown on screen thematically, complementing every second with the images being presented. A movie often transmits several emotions and the score that accompanies it should match those emotions. Anticipation, joy, attachment, sadness, ra...

Halloween - The Evil of Michael Myers
Переглядів 30 тис.5 років тому
After 40 years of disappointing sequels, remakes and the countless slasher movies of the 80’s, Michael Myers officially makes a comeback this year with Halloween 2018. While the older sequels and remakes went in an entirely different direction than the original, replacing simple, yet effective techniques for explanations that weren’t needed. What Rob Zombie and all these other filmmakers failed...

Heat vs. Collateral | Michael Mann and the City of L.A.

Michael Mann’s work is surrounded by an ever-threatening presence of crime. Placing a story at the heart of the Los Angeles criminal world, Mann is able to tell a compelling tale of opposing ideas and clashing forces of two men without a shared sense of morality, but with much to learn from each other. What Tarantino Teaches Us About Violence

What The Incredibles Teaches Us About Mediocrity
The entire movie I was watching it like “ok when am I supposed to like this guy” I never hated a protagonist more. 💀
На каком сайте где можно найти фильм с участием Мики Рурка где фильм идёт 3 часа
I always watch this video everytime I order a Pizza! 👌🏻🤌🏻🍕🔥
Is it only me who likes the second half more? The second half about the war is depicted so brilliantly intense and interesting, both hilarious and suspensful
I remember being rocked by Saving Private Ryan, and I still enjoy watching it from time to time. When I first saw Thin Red Line, it was inevitable that I would compare it to Ryan, and being a slower movie with fewer action scenes, I walked away thinking it was "good, but not great". After watching Thin Red Line a few years later, (and being a bit more reflective), I realized it is the superior story. While Ryan relies mostly on spectacle and the single story line, Thin Red Line combines a few threads together into one larger narrative. Ryan is about saving one person because the Army told them to, while Thin Red Line is a number of individuals trying to save themselves from the Army. I love both movies, and will watch them when I need whatever they each give.
Aka the Autism experience.
My ass is lily white. Pucker up! 😊

I regret to this day that I never saw this film in the movie theater. I have considerably greater appreciation for this film than Private Ryan, which I also like. Don't know for certain, but I think combat veterans may appreciate this film more also.
Can you credit the music man?
it's at the ending credits... 27:10
Waw the man was a great visionnary, and yet he was copyright by other businessman/sceintist as usual. He finished ruined completly selling candies!!
Stillwaiting for the directors cut
💪 🗿 The greatest movie 🎦 of all time: ⌚
for all the abuse bootcamp throws at the recruits, keep in mind they're marines. they literally have to be bloodthirsty killers by virtue of having one of the hardest, most dangerous roles possible, amphibious landings.
Halloween 2018 was amazing
Worst thing was for those men it was just the beginning
I love film noir, to me the voice over is perfect. Sheen's voice is so good
I watched this movie for the second time recently, the first been in 1993 at the movies. It took all of those years to feel anywhere near comfortable to do so. I enjoyed it more the second time. The horror & vilence sort of stuns you the first time & i missed a lot of things (or just forgot) from the first time. Can anyone explain to me why a fair few people nominate Saving Private Ryan as a similar sad movie?? It was violent, yes. The scene when the priest arrives at her house, sad, Yes but compare it with the psychological trauma of Schindlers list, i am absolutely stunned. Saving Private Ryan is one of my faves but i could not give it more than 8/10. That what makes Schindlers list so sad, it wasn't fictional, it actually happened & only around 80 years not even a century. Is the next Hitler around the corner?
I’m watching this cause I’m about to eat pizza 🍕
I found other actors were under-appreciated here too. Miranda Otto’s beautiful portrayal won her a place in Peter Jackson’s LOTR masterpiece on, and so were Sean Penn, John Travolta and Adrien Brody. Shame that Jim Caviezel was ignored however.
The movie I thought Jim Caviezel is the only actor who can plays Jesus when he is asked by Mel! And then the movie happend 💪🏼🙏🏼
Whenever I'm watching paranormal activity movies especially four or ghost deminsion I'm like these could be basically prequels to Halloween he was a regular kid but like the kids in paranormal activity movie he's targeted by evil calling itself Toby wanting to be his friend have fun with him bad influence on him making him do bad stuff distancing himself from his family especially his sister and in four the kid does this especially to his sister cause in the end he's supposed to sacrifice her for Toby which is basically what Michael did obviously change some things but could lead right into Halloween if you read the Halloween novelization this is basically the case lol
Such a cool observation about Pyle and Animal Mother...I never saw the similarities through all my times watching the film!
I find that the true villains are the ultra wealthy, just like in real life. They want all of us to be cogs in the machine - simple units filling out their 9-to-5 roles while enriching the exceptional few. Superheroes in this case represent power outside of the system, which is something those who have manipulated the system cannot control. The ultra wealthy thrive on convincing everyone to conform and never try to be exceptional, so that they can continue being rich in the shadows.
The CIA goals is different from Alejandro's goals, for him it's personal. Best Movie Ever! It leaves the audience some questions
If I was Walter Frey, I would have never broken the cardinal rule, thee ultimate sin! In the agreement, The freys stamped their legacy! It’s total devastation…. Bread 🍞 and Salt 🧂
- Denis Villeneuve . Thank You . . . - . . . For Showing . . . R E S P E C T . -
Name of song used?
We definitely need an origin story
ehh, this is definitely not a "less is more" movie.
I like where you’re going but ultimately I think this is wrong. Like sevensolaris pointed out, joker doesn’t hesitate, his weapon malfunctions. I believe apocalypse now has a much better exploration of the duality of man, exemplified when Kurtz talks about the VC who cut the inoculated children’s arms off saying “these were not monsters, these were men with families, men who are full of love, who simply possessed the strength to kill without passion, without compassion, without judgment.” And the gal at the French compound tells Willard something to the effect of him being two men, one who loves and one who kills
I don’t know why I enjoy this film but I do
The original is better and always will be
Tommy taps out: I'm not crying, you're crying.
Fantastic analysis!!
Great take on an unbelievably underrated film. I would’ve liked them to have switched the semi-final battles. I figure Tommy winning a violent contest with Koba and sustaining serious (hidden) injuries would’ve made his loss against Brendan more believable and easier to take (ditto Brendan’s victory).
Who made this youre awsome
Blade runner 2049 = blade runner 🥰
Could only watch this movie once. It was disturbing
lots of amazing and underrated symbolism in this movie
The score is sublime!
alejandro wasn't a hitman for the columbian cartel, that's just what kate assumed. it's not impossible that he became one after his family was murdered, but the only thing that we know is that he really was a prosecutor.
I LOVED Sicario, having watched it a dozen times. My only nitpick of the entire film was casting the British actor Emily Blunt in the role of the new CIA recruit. She was so totally wrong for the part on so many levels. First, let's look at her physicality. Does she look like a hardened killer to you?? If you think that, you're imagining someone else. Secondly, both Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin were BORN to play these roles, both cold-blooded goverment killers to the max, entirely capable of the most heinous and brutal acts of violence imaginable. Does Blunt fit this category?? *Absolutely not.* The moment she goes on her very first secret assignment, she immediately begins to question the motives of all her superiors, when she should have been totally silent, keeping her inner doubts entirely to herself. But instead she CONSTANTLY and CONTINUALLY berates and questions all the orders of her team leaders, in the end compromising the outcome of the entire operation. I'm only surprised that neither the Del Toro or Brolin characters didn't shoot her halfway through the movie. Although Blunt is an excellent actress, the next time she should be cast as an English governess or kindergarden teacher, not a ruthless, cold blooded hit lady. Reply
A splendid documentary, outstanding in every respect! Friends and I just this afternoon saw for the first time "Le Voyage Dans la Lune" at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC and of course we were utterly enthralled. Then I found this superbly illuminating exposition only hours later on-line. Can't help wishing this could be played at the Museum too because, in its own way, it's as good as the film itself.
I love the scene when Ben Affleck tells Matt that if he’s still there in 25 years he’ll kill him because it’s hard for a friend to tell another one that there not what they need
"Ending was predictable", I question that, but hey someone can have a different interpretation. I thought it was going to end with Will going to one of the jobs he was offered, that was going to be his first stepping stone.
ua-cam.com/video/1VuDjJ9KIxM/v-deo.htmlsi=uuyFAA5rGdFOZKn1 for some reason this soundtrack hit me as the first time hearing Invisible Sun. I'm a child of divorce . P.Bateman
Man, why did you do me like that? I would always be brimming with tears whenever I hear this film's score.
the image of the capsule on the moon is still recognizable and iconic to this day to me it makes sense to call it the first feature length film and first epic imho.
"Letters from Iwo Jima" and "flags of our Feather" also great anti war movie. But this one on the next level, and more mature contemplative. not for everyone.
